What We Do

Our team presents a wealth of construction experience in both new and refurbishment projects.  Our project teams recognise the unique challenges within each sector and transition from new build to complex refurbishment and restoration projects with ease.

Our offering includes the restoration of heritage buildings.  We’ve completed several restoration projects and understand the complexities as well as the scarce skills required to restore our heritage back to its former glory.

Flexible construction delivery

The bulk of our refurbishment portfolio is repeat work for existing clients.  A feat we attribute to our understanding of our clients’ financial and operational requirements and ability to structure a project programme and methodology that ensures business continuity.

We have procedures in place to reduce disruption to the minimum, working closely with our clients and their representatives to plan construction sequencing and activities around their operational needs.

Upfront and collaborative planning of the various facets of the construction process and the effective communication and co-ordination thereof are key in reducing operational disruption.  This includes the management of noise and dust pollution, public safety contingencies and scheduling of after-hours work.

Our teams have extensive experience of working within operational facilities and are accustomed to managing the unforeseen risks and costs associated to this type of environment.

In addition to our new build construction experience, our refurbishment, fit-out and restoration expertise includes; –

Refurbishment and internal fit-out

  • Complete strip-out and reinstallation of electrical, air-conditioning and fire detection services and/or repairs
  • Painting, carpeting and joinery
  • Reconfiguration and fit-out of new floor plans
  • Upgrade of ablutions and canteen areas

Although the bulk of our projects are repeat work, procured either by negotiation or invited tender, we are comfortable in procuring work on an open tender or lump sum basis.

A partnering relationship inevitably leads to repeat business

Our team approach to project delivery involves all project participants in the planning process, this ensures and upfront understanding of the project programme, challenges and risks.  Ongoing and effective communication pertaining to programme, quality and delivery within budget ensures a streamlined construction process and builds transparent relationships and partnerships.

At Status Africa Construction we are committed to quality and the enjoyment of a streamlined construction process.

This we achieve through a spirit of partnership; based on open, transparent communication with each participant involved on our projects – from commencement to completion.

We understand that each sector is unique, with each project presenting its own challenges and special needs.

We review each project on its own merit, assembling the team best aligned to the size, complexity and delivery expectations of the project.

Our project managers, site agents, estimators, project administrators and office support staff work closely with our clients, project consultants and a range of suppliers and sub-contractors, harnessing their expertise to ensure on-time delivery and best-fit solutions.
